/files/j0178531.jpg

Teens are at a Higher Risk for getting an STD/STI, because their bodies are still developing physically and the younger a person is when they become sexually active, the more sexual partners they are likely to have.  Multiple sexual partners greatly increase risk of contracting STDs.

  • Most STD/STIs occur in peolple under the age of 25.
  • Approximately 12,000 teens become infected with an STD/STI DAILY in the U.S.
  • Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are more common among teens ages 15-19 than any other age group.
